Our History

A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home is a family owned and operated firm established in Glasgow by Aubrey F. Crow, Sr. in 1928. In the late 1950's Mr. Crow's son, Aubrey F. Crow, Jr. became a partner with his father in the family business and in 1979 brought the third generation of the Crow family into the business when Aubrey "Follis" Crow, III purchased an interest in the business and continues as president and manager of the firm.

    Aubrey Follis Crow III Past President, Funeral Director

    Follis is the third generation to operate the funeral home following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. The firm was established in 1928. Follis began his apprenticeship in 1971 and purchased interest in the funeral home in 1979. Today he is the sole owner of A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.

  • Kevin Beaty

    Kevin Beaty Managing Funeral Director

    Kevin Beaty is the managing director of AF Crow & Son Funeral Home. He is a 1983 graduate of Hart County High School and a 1985 graduate of Mid-America College of Funeral Service in Jeffersonville, IN.. After graduation, he began his funeral service career at AF Crow & Son Funeral Home, serving his apprenticeship until eligible to become a licensed funeral director and embalmer in 1987. In April of 1988, Kevin married Lisa Strode Beaty of Mt. Hermon, KY and soon after joined the US Army. Kevin served the 21st Theater Sustainment Command in Kaiserslautern, Germany from 1988-1991 as a Graves Registration Specialist assigned to Mortuary Affairs. After completing four years of service, he returned to the area and was employed at Strode Funeral Home in Tomkinsville. Eventually, Kevin would make his way back to where it all began at AF Crow in 2000.
    Kevin and Lisa reside in Glasgow where Lisa is employed with SCRTC. Together, they have two children, Kaitlyn Beaty Morris, wife of Wes Morris, and Justin Beaty. They are the proud grandparents of Kaydence, Grady and Lucy Morris. Both are members of Coral Hill Baptist Church and actively support their community through various organizations and events. Kevin's desire is to uphold the dignity and reputation of service that this community has come to expect from AF Crow & Son Funeral Home.

  • Larry Self

    Larry Self Funeral Director/Embalmer

    Larry is a Barren County native. He attended Park City High School. In 1965, his family moved to South Bend, IN, where he graduated from John Adams High School in 1970. Immediately following graduation, he enrolled in the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science in Louisville, KY and graduated in 1971. Larry started at AF Crow & Son after graduation as an apprentice. He became licensed to practice funeral care in 1975. He married his wife, Brenda, in 1973, and they have two children, a son, Eric Self and his wife Crystal, who blessed him with two grandchildren, Merick and Amerie, and a daughter, Katrina Self. He proudly served with the 1st Battalion 623rd Field Artillery, Kentucky National Guard, Glasgow, KY and after a tour in Desert Storm, retired from the Guard. He has been with AF Crow & Son for nearly 48 years. Larry is a member of Mt. Vernon Church of Christ.

  • Terry Wilson

    Terry Wilson Funeral Director

    Terry is a native Metcalfe County, he is a 1980 graduate of Metcalfe County High School. Terry and his wife Kathy Shirley Wilson married in 1982, they have 2 sons, Timmy (Kara) and Curtis (Candace), he also has 3 grandchildren, Colten, Carson and Samuel. He is a member of Basil Chapel United Baptist Church in Barren County where is he an ordained minister since 1997. He has pastored several churches in Barren, Metcalfe, Adair, Edmonson and Hart counties. He started with the Crow family in 1983, stayed for a short time then went to part rime until 1998 where he became a full-time employee getting his Funeral Directors license in 2001.

    Billy Allen Funeral Director

    My name is William Allen but everyone calls me Billy. I was born in Glasgow Kentucky on September 22,1961. I live at Merry Oaks on a farm that belonged to my grandfather then my father. At the age of 15 I went in partnership with my dad as a Dairy farmer. After high school I met my wife, Enita, we married on December 7, 1979. We have 3 daughters, 1 son and 7 grandchildren. My wife and I are members of Rolling Hills United Baptist Church.
    In 2006, we stopped the Dairy Business. God was leading me in a different direction. I had been helping take care of a cemetery maps at Shiloh church for several years. Getting to know the local funeral home employees. Working at a funeral home has always been something I had been interested in.
    In April of 2010, I received a call from a friend, Kevin Beaty, about a possible job opening at A.F. Crow Funeral Home. Thus began my career, I did my apprenticeship in 2015 and received my license as a Funeral Director of October 2018.
    This is a career that I believe God has lead me to. It is very rewarding and I enjoy helping give comfort to families in a time that is most difficult.

  • Kenny  Shepperd

    Kenny Shepperd Funeral Director/Embalmer

    Kenny Shepperd and his wife, Kelly reside in Munfordville. They have two children and one granddaughter. He is a graduate of Hart County High School and Eastern Kentucky University. He received his Bachelor's in mortuary science from Mid-America College of Funeral Service and is National Board certified. When not at work, he enjoys golfing, watching college football and hockey.

  • Jennie Wilson

    Jennie Wilson Office Manager

    A Warren County native, Jennie graduated from Warren County High School, studied at WKU, and a graduate of The Kentucky School of Banking. After working in data processing, eleven years in the fertilizer business, twenty years in banking with other positions in between, she joined Crow Funeral Home in 2007.
    As a member of First United Methodist Church in Glasgow, she served on the Administrative Board and chair of the Finance Committee. Promoting the community with the Glasgow-Barren County Chamber of Commerce by serving as chair on various committees, Vice-President and President.
    A widow of Ralph T. Wilson, she has three sons a daughter, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
    As a believer in customer service, it is her desire to provide personal and caring service to all families. "Make a difference in a life."

  • Martha Dickson

    Martha Dickson Housekeeping

    I was born in Glasgow, KY. Graduated Barren County High School in 1980. I married my husband, Greg Dickson in 1983. We have one daughter and son-n-law, Sheena and Philip Doty.
    Im a member of Society Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Metcalfe Co. I started my career working with the public after graduation at Wal-Mart for 17-1/2 years as Department Manager. In 1998, I joined Browing Oil Shell and worked as a Manager for 10 years.
    I have a passion for cooking and joined the Pampered Chef in 1997 and became as Director in 2000, I have a career sales of over $1,2000,000.00 and have earned numerous awards and trips.
    I joined the staff at A.F. Crow and Son Funeral Home in January 2015. I enjoy helping others!
